Melinda Tually
Director, Ndless: The New Normal, Founder, LEGACY
Melinda is a trusted responsible fashion and retail strategist advising brands on ethical sourcing, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, supply chain risk and communications. She is passionate about human rights, the circular economy, responsible innovation and assisting businesses to develop best practice strategies tailored to their market.
Included in the top ten of Ragtrader’s 2018 Power 30 list for the Australian fashion industry, Melinda frequently presents to business and academia and keeps up to date with developments in legislation, international protocols, market tools and best practice industry initiatives on living wage, textile and environment standards, the circular economy and Modern Slavery.
In a pro bono capacity, Melinda established Fashion Revolution in Australia and New Zealand in 2013 and sits on its Global Advisory Committee. In 2018, Fashion Revolution Australia won Best in Class for Fashion Design in the Australian Good Design Awards and features in The Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences, Sydney. She appeared in the 2017 ABC documentary series ‘War on Waste’, is a judge for the 2019 Good Design Awards and Ambassador for The Garage Sale Trail.
Melinda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Macquarie University and has undertaken postgraduate studies at the Global Reporting Initiative, Cambridge University and the Financial Services Institute of Australia.
In 2019, she was awarded a prestigious Winston Churchill fellowship to research living wage programmes and freedom of association initiatives in garment factories.
Amy Griffith
Coordinator, Innovation Lab & Events
Amy is an experienced merchandise planning manager specialising in planning process implementation.
After ten years working in some of Australia’s largest womenswear retailers, she consults to retail businesses on ERP implementation, OTB creation and management and reporting solutions.
She also has a strong passion for sustainable fashion, which lead to her completing various courses including with the London College of Fashion’s Centre for Sustainable Fashion and TU Delft. Inspired to use her industry knowledge and skillset to drive positive change within the fashion industry, Amy works at Ndless developing industry tools and research as well co-ordinating events at the Legacy summits, including the 2020 Innovation Lab.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honours from the University of Birmingham.
Nadia Lee
Manager, Content & Marketing
Nadia is a fashion tech and innovation expert, with experience spanning across startups in AI, data ethics and sustainability. Her passion is in strategising to improve retail's most dire issues through effective technology and innovation. Nadia believes marketing and content is an integral tool to stir public opinion and facilitate conversations between government and corporate bodies for change.
As a successful project manager, Nadia has advised the likes of FJORD and Suncorp Bank, and managed innovation projects with Lendlease Group, Stanford University and Shop You.
Nadia holds a Bachelor of Fashion Design and Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation from University of Technology, Sydney and has undertaken studies at University of Arts, London in Fashion Sustainability.
Laura Vail
Creator, Content & Marketing
Laura is a creator of bold prints with a passion for printmaking.
Laura is currently studying a Masters in Design at UNSW and has translated her existing skills in visual marketing to promote the Legacy vision.
She is dedicated to disrupting the current broken fashion system and focused on creating momentum toward a more sustainable and ethical future.
Laura is a printmaking designer and her creative outlet ‘Genevieve’ fulfils her desire to express herself visually. ‘Genevieve’ is a celebration of nature’s diversity, through it’s textures and complexity. The designs are all proudly locally produced and handmade on textiles.
